A SENDER OF WORDS
FOUR WORDS TO DESCRIBE GOD.
I noticed those four words ‘A SENDER OF WORDS’ while doing an internet search a few days ago. They were not in a Christian context but they stuck in my mind and spirit. If you were looking for a way to describe God those four words would be a perfect choice. From our point of view they describe God’s most important activity.
Everything we experience and know about God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is based upon the fact He is a sender of words. If He had not sent us His words we would have remained totally blind and ignorant in the knowledge of Him. It is an act of grace on His part that He has sent us His words. I believe if you meditate on that fact for a while it will change your life. It is why the Bible (God’s Word) is so important to our life and living.
In His wisdom God has sent His words in a book. It is the most important book available to the World, and to us as Christians. We should always hold in our minds that when we open the Bible we are beholding words that have come from God’s mouth. Apostle Peter described God’s words as being ‘a light in a dark place.’ A Psalmist said, ‘The entrance of your words gives light; it gives understanding too the simple.’
If the Bible has come from God’s mouth, what could be more important than having a thorough knowledge of it? The Word of God tells us…
