After thinking about it it occurred to me that doubt can be a symptom of inertia in a Christians life. Doubt does not come into it if a daily concern and prayer for the lost around us, as co-labourers with God, is our way of life. The early Church was a Church of prayer, action, and outreach. You don't doubt when your daily life is a dynamic activity with God for the desperate need of lost humanity. This can be true of kids as well. A school age daughter of a friend of mine started a prayer group at her school , to which many kids responded. Christians who are doing nothing become preoccupied with themselves.
