ASTOUNDING BUT TRUE.
AMAZING EVENTS AT THE DEATH OF JESUS CHRIST.
This passage, from the Bible book of Mathew, are the most amazing words you will ever read.
Mathew 27:50–54 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.
So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!” unquote
The passage is an historical record by Mathew of what was common knowledge at the time. A closer inspection of the passage:
At the very moment Jesus gave up His spirit (died) the veil of the Jewish temple was torn in two from top to bottom. That veil was close to 4 inches thick. That it was torn from top to bottom indicates it was God’s work and not of any human hand. The veil had hidden the Most Holy Place in the Temple since the time of Moses.
