CHRISTIANITY’S BIG DIFFERENCE.
WHAT SETS THE CHRISTIAN GOSPEL APART FROM ALL OTHER RELIGIONS ?
The beginning of the book of Romans in the New Testament tells us.
Jesus Christ…declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. Romans 1: 3,4
Other versions of the New Testament put that verse in todays English, but I like that version from the New King James Bible. I designed a T Shirt with that verse on it. This is what it means : It was proved true that Jesus was the powerful Son of God when He was raised from the dead. Death comes from sin, but Jesus was holy and death had no power over him. Death could not hold Him.
We don’t hear a lot about it these days. Jesus coming back from death is the foundation of the Christian message. That fact is what makes Christianity different from all other religions. The founders of those religions died leaving only their writings behind. Jesus came back from death and in so doing made freedom from death and eternal life available to anyone who takes Him as their Savior.
