I know you are not broadcasting it to the world, but I think it is way to general a statement to say the devil is killing Pastors testimony everyday. One here and there does not mean the many.
The laxness in morals you mentioned is just another way of saying rejection of the Word of God. Your mention of the sin nature in relation to Pastors falling, proves my statement about many in the Church not knowing the Word. No where in the New Testament does it say Christians still have a sin nature.
I jumped to the conclusion you were talking about lone Pastors. I guess most Pastors have a team around them, I still stick to my two reasons as possible reasons Pastors fall.
Our discussion opened something to me I have never thought about. ! Timothy 3:1–14. Has strict requirements for Bishops and Deacons. There is no like stipulation for the 5 fold Ministry 1Cor 12. Perhaps it is because it says ‘God has set some in the Church’ whereas the bishops and deacons seem to, in part at least, be appointed by the people. The Church is told to test them.
There is no mention of bishops and deacons as being involved in the decision in the Church at Antioch.
