In Romans 7:23 Paul says he delights to do the will of God with his inner man. When he says 'sin that dwells in me' he clarifies what he means by saying 'that is in my flesh', The whole chapter is about Paul's learning to handle his corrupt body. which verses 23, 24, 25 confirm. Romans 8 carries on that theme.

Previously in Romans Paul had said the Christians have the circumcision of the heart. 2:29 and are holy 6:22.

Hebrews 10: 1-2 tells us the result of Jesus' atonement. Once purified and having 'no more consciousness of sin'.
