GOD IS LOVE
A Physics Publication I happened upon recently, authored by two prominent Scientific philosophers, claimed they would answer three questions; Why is there something rather than nothing? Why do we exist? Why this particular set of laws and not some others? “We claim, they said, it is possible to answer these questions purely within the realm of Science and without invoking any divine being.” The questions were not answered of course. The reader had to be satisfied with probability, possibility and ‘if our theories are correct’. Science alone will never answer those questions. Science reveals the works of God. “For since the creation of the world His (God) invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20)
A metaphor comes to mind of a driver and passenger travelling between cities. The driver pulls over admitting they are lost, then discovers the map is not in the glove box. The passenger reminds the driver the car is fitted with GPS technology, which provides not only a map but a guiding voice. Having no knowledge of the technology the driver thinks the passenger is making a fool of him and refuses to listen. They drive on hoping for the best.
That little story is descriptive of the lost condition of humanity. Jesus said He came…
