Jan Verhoeff, housewife, and full time Ghostwriter of fiction books, has a unique approach to her writing I have not come across anywhere else. The first principal in her Ebook ‘Write Transformational Fiction’ (available Amazon) is — live in panic mode. She seems to be more of a pantser than an outliner, although she does talk about some preparation in the book. Her entire day is spent in her imagination developing the book. One day she picked up her children from school and pulled into a strange driveway, because she was immersed in her imagination. It was not until the kids complained they were not home, that she realized her mistake.

Panic mode, or writing in a fury, as she also calls it, means writing the story like you know what is going to happen next. Writers block or sitting back pondering what should come next, is not a part of her modus operandi. Hurry up! is her catch cry. Her fast and furious approach is a practiced behavior. Training the writers mind to get on with the job, making no mental room for delay. It obviously works for her. She makes a good living writing for authors we all think wrote all their books themselves !! Asking herself what the reader would want to know next helps her keep the pace up, she says.
