LOW BUDGET HELPS TO LEARNING TO WRITE.

Six years back I decided it was time to fulfil my dream of being a published writer. As a voracious reader I knew it would be a breeze to succeed as a writer. Good spelling came naturally to me, and with the copious amounts of information from reading in my subconscious, great accomplishments were just around the corner.

Alas, not so! I rushed off two eBooks on my favourite subject, had two marvellous covers created, and published them on Amazon Kindle. Then I settled down to learn more about writing. Not having a lot of ready cash I turned to $1 and $2 books on writing from Amazon Kindle. Occasionally I would see something that seemed worth an outlay of $10–$12. As I read, my dismay increased. It was clear I did not have a clue about good writing. I deleted the two embarrassments from Amazon Kindle and began the study of good writing. I still occasionally buy $2 eBooks from Amazon. Competition is fierce regarding books on writing, and much good advice is available at surprisingly low prices.

I hasten to add, lest a new writer be discouraged by the above, it is not difficult to learn to write. All that is needed is concentrated study at the beginning, and an attitude of continued improvement thereafter. It will not be long before you come into the knowledge your writing is of acceptable quality.
