Well rather than taking the point of the story - which is extremely important for Christians to take on board - you bypassed the thrust of the story. Jesus never failed to heal all who came to Him. Peter says - speaking to every Bible reader - 'by His stripes you were healed'.

The circumstance you mentioned with Paul was unique and personal between him and God. It is not a Bible principle.

Because it is clear Jesus atonement included healing we should embrace that 100%.

If proper faith is applied to the promises healing will occur 99% of the time. I believe the exceptions to that are again, a personal thing between an individual and God. If I remember rightly Paul says why he was stuck with that affliction.

I would not be taking any severe affliction lying down. I would be holding the Bible up to God and saying 'here is your promise.' bi4now
