NEW TECH MAKES EBOOK PRODUCTION A BREEZE.

The protracted part of my latest ebook was, of course, the writing of the thing. The mechanics of the text production was a lot easier than you might think. (The publisher I am talking about is drafttodigital or D2D — Google will get you to it) As I always do I used Microsoft Word. No title page. No copyright page. No table of contents. No paragraph indents. No page breaks or numbering. All done in 14 point with no fancy embellishments.

The only requirement with regard to the chapters was the chapter title in bold, approximately one half inch above the text and at the center of the page. I say approximately because that was my choice. I could have put it one quarter inch above the text or one inch above the text. Once written it was ready for the publisher in the state described above.

I uploaded the cover I had created to the publisher, followed by the word document file exactly as I have described above. I ticked a box that said ‘title page’. I ticked another that said ‘copyright page’. Another that put my author bio at the back of the book. Another that generated a clickable list of every book I have published with this Publisher. also at the back of the book.

I chose some categories for marketing of the book, and generated ten search tags. I hit save at the…
